WolfManChi Curiosity is a sense of desire exhibited by a dog to know more about his Surroundings. We should encourage this Curiosity with appropriate boundaries defined.
Curiosity is a trait present in most dogs.
Appealing to the dog’s curiosity can greatly assist us in training him as well as motivate him to try new things.
Curiosity drives the excitement in the dog, but must be balanced to keep it present but in control!
I have found that the biggest trigger for the dog to arouse his curiosity is their sense of smell. So it may not always be visual that we can relate to the dog being curious but their noses will drive them and makes their curiosity full of excitement!
WolfManChi Explore is a strong motivation that drives a dog with an intense power. Exploring appeals to the dogs instinct and can over-power the senses, so proper training must be present to achieve the maximum experience.
Similar to curiosity but this is describing the actual engagement of the curious pup!
Exploration is a wonderful exercise and magnetic attraction that most dogs are compelled to do.
Again this is a great motivator to use this trait to assist us for training purposes.
Most Dogs live to explore. This is why I really love the Free Ranging activities(off leash activities because the dog can really explore and fulfill its natural desires as long as we have trained them to respect boundaries using our voice or visual commands.
Satisfying this desire in your Dog will also help his behavior and build his trust in you.
i like to encourage exploration by taking my Dogs different places to keep it fresh!!
If I frequent the same place a lot I may just reverse the path or course I take, to mix it up and this will help keep it new for the Dog also!!
